February
Every day of the week is something different this month. We will incorporate meals to match our crazy days.
Monday: Pajama day
Tuesday: crazy hair day
Wednesday: mix match day
Thursday: backwards day
Friday: inside out day
Everyone had a ball with their creativity!
March
March crazy days will be every Tuesday we will wear our GREEN! We will eat and drink green on St. Patrick's Day.
To help get us in the mood for St. Patrick's Day, we made green clover pancakes to eat next week. Check out what they look like on the creativity page!
We made rainbow jello cups for the children to enjoy as a treat on St. Patrick's Day as well.
April
We will not be having any crazy days for April this year. The kids did enjoy all the crazy days we had though. It was nice to see what everyone came up with. Easter is April 5th and we will have festivities for the children to enjoy around the holiday.
We will be thinking spring when making our next batches of pancakes. Lots of flowers, maybe some Easter eggs and bunnies and other spring related fun things to eat 😄
We have more field trips scheduled for April and are looking forward to what other fun things we will do, see and learn!
May
Happy May! We made flowers to distribute for the neighbors for May Day. We will be going on more field trips this month as the kids enjoy the new spots we visit. The WECA conference is coming up and we can't wait to further educate ourselves to benefit the children, however, we will be closed. We hope the warm weather is here to stay and we look forward to spending lots of time outside soaking up the warm sun rays.
Also Grandma D just bought a van so we can take field trips. Yay!!! When we plan a field trip, permission slips will be sent home. We can only transport 5 children ages 2 years and older. We will follow Wisconsin laws and each child will be in a car seat appropriate for their age and weight. To ensure that no child is left behind in the vehicle we will have attendance records and will mark off the children when they exit and enter the vehicle.
We are all set for fieldtrips for this month....stayed tunes for pics and what we learned...
Examples of field trips are:
Going to see how maple syrup is made. Going to kids parties at the mall
Going to the sledding hill. Going to the park to play
Our first two field trips were a great success. We went to the fire station and looked at the trucks while the firefighters told us about their jobs. We also went to the park to play.
